On Operation, Management and Investment in Science and Technology
In order to be better geared to the international practice, Fuyao Group has spared no money to take on many famous high-ranking officers joining Fuyao, and introduce the advanced management concepts and methods. The financial input into the technological development and sci-tech activities amounts to at least 4.5% of the total sales volume and still increases year by year, providing a better benefit and enabling Fuyao to remain No.1 and world leader in the glass industry for its technological level.
Construction of Human Resource of Technology Center
Fuyao R&D Center has gathered many technical backbones representing the highest level of Fuyao Group, including engineers in information technology, process development, product development, equipment research, mechanical design, electrical design and software design. The center has 150 full-time R&D staff, amongst which 21 are senior technicians and 105 middle-ranked technicians,. The assistant chief engineers, CFO and manager of Department of Information Technology will provide powerful support for projects under research and development.
R&D and Testing Facilities
Fuyao Group has successively introduced complete range of R&D and laboratory equipment from Raytek, Laiminuo, and Taiqi Technologies, Inc.. The R&D equipment includes AFC automatic coated glass production line, Lisec automatic hollow glass production line, Glasstech tempering furnace, Seva tempering furnace, Finland bending furnace, German homogenizing furnace and automatic silver coated glass production line etc. There are more than 100 sets of instruments in the laboratory. Fuyao group has invested nearly RMB 40 million for inspection and testing instruments so as to meet the inspection standards required by countries all over the world. Among theses instruments, XRF spectroscope, flame atomic absorption spectrometer, High/low temperature alternating humidity box, cold light table chroma meter, xenon lamp aging instrument, precision pull machine, impact resistance test device, coordinate measuring machine, and Moor scanner are all the most advanced equipment for environmental resistance test, mechanical test, optical performance and material analysis test of vehicle safety glass. The laboratory is able to conduct the tests in compliance with standards of GB9656, ECER43, ANSI Z26.1, JISR3211, KS2007, AS/NZS, ASTM as well as enterprise standards stipulated by many automobile manufacturers such as FAW Volkswagan, Shanghai Volkswagan, Shang GM, Honda Japan, Mitsubishi Japan and Isuzu Japan. Tests on performance of safety glass for railway rolling stock, building glass, plastic materials and bound glass products for automobile and relative fitting of automobile glass can also be done in the laboratory. Some of compulsory production certification tests are also done in this lab such as CCC, ECE, DOT and SAA with the test results accepted by all certification bodies.
